Samaritans of Singapore wanted a brand refresh film, to create more resonance
with people that are battling suicidal thoughts. With that in mind, the team put together a short
film that eventually launched on World Suicide Prevention Day, 2022.
The film seeks to capture the depth of emotions such as isolation, frustration, and stark loneliness,
profoundly felt by those who are struggling. The protagonist is initially engulfed in darkness,
swallowed up by the vastness of the world around him. Right as he reaches the peak, a voice reaches out
and breaks through like a light in darkness. This film was created with one agenda,
to humanise SOS as a friend who cares, and that they are more than just an organisation.
